Thursday morning at the Bengaluru Racecourse was abuzz with activity as several equine stars showcased their prowess during their rigorous exercise sessions on October 30th. Four names, in particular, stood out with exceptional performances: Efficacy, Storm Shadow, Blue Saint, and Agrador.
Inner Sand Track Drills
600m Sprints:
- Hidden Dreams (rb): Clocked an impressive 40 seconds, moving with notable ease.
- Corinthian (Shreyas): Completed its run in 41 seconds, demonstrating a controlled and spirited pace.
- Dictator (R. Pradeep): Showed strong form, striding out powerfully to finish in 39.5 seconds.
- Amazing Strides (rb): Moved freely and effectively, recording a time of 40 seconds.
1000m Endeavor:
- African Gold (R. Pradeep): Delivered a splendid performance, covering the distance in 1 minute 5.5 seconds, with a 600m split of 38.5 seconds. A truly good display.
Outer Sand Track Work
600m Quick Runs:
- Valencia (M. Naveen) & Power Point (A. Ramu): These two matched strides perfectly, finishing neck and neck in 44 seconds.
- Treasure Queen (M. Naveen) & White Secret (A. Ramu): Both moved comfortably and on the bit, registering 46 seconds.
- Cosmic Reward (A. Ramu) & Hushad (M. Naveen): Appearing in excellent condition, they clocked 45.5 seconds.
- Sekhmet (Rushal) & Ladyness (P. Mani): Demonstrated good movement and pace, completing their exercise in 43.5 seconds.
1200m Challenge:
- Blue Saint (Rayan): Was particularly impressive, finishing in 1 minute 28 seconds, with splits of 1 minute 13 seconds for 1000m and 44 seconds for 600m.
1400m Stamina Tests:
- Efficacy (Shreyas): Showcased superb fitness, completing its gallop in 1 minute 42 seconds, with 1200m in 1 minute 27 seconds, 1000m in 1 minute 12.5 seconds, and 600m in 43 seconds. Clearly in peak form.
- Storm Shadow (rb): Also pleased onlookers with a strong showing, clocking 1 minute 43 seconds for 1400m, 1 minute 28 seconds for 1200m, 1 minute 13.5 seconds for 1000m, and 44 seconds for 600m.
Gate Practice – Inner Sand
1400m Starting Drills:
- Victoria Doresaani (Rozario), Jalwa (Sai Kiran), Blazing Fire (Asirvatham): Finished in 1 minute 36.5 seconds, with a 1400m-600m split of 53.5 seconds. Victoria Doresaani was noted for a particularly impressive start.
- Queen Maxima (Jagadeesh) & Friya (Rushal): Completed their practice in 1 minute 39 seconds (1400m-600m in 53 seconds), with Queen Maxima finishing significantly ahead.
- Agrador (R. Pradeep): Exhibited a remarkably smart jump from the gates, clocking 1 minute 35 seconds (1400m-600m in 50 seconds), indicating excellent readiness.
