In a significant development for Bengaluru commuters, North Corporation Commissioner Pommala Sunil Kumar issued a directive on Friday for the immediate reopening and restoration of service roads. These roads, which were temporarily closed due to metro construction along the vital Hebbal to K.R. Puram stretch, are now being returned to vehicular traffic.
During a comprehensive inspection covering the stretch from the Hebbal flyover to Ramamurthy Nagar Junction along the Outer Ring Road (ORR), the Commissioner highlighted the crucial need for enhanced coordination between various departments. The goal is to accelerate the completion of all remaining works. Specifically, for the section between the Hebbal flyover and Venkatan Cafe Road, where major metro construction has concluded, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has been instructed to initiate road restoration activities promptly to ensure seamless public movement.
