Andhra Pradesh’s IT Minister, Nara Lokesh, officially opened a new Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Limited dealership and machine care facility at Atmakur, near Mangalagiri, this Wednesday. The establishment, a venture by Sri Dhanalakshmi Auto Agencies Pvt. Ltd. under the Lakshmi Group, marks a significant step for regional development.
During the inauguration, Minister Lokesh underscored the importance of such dealerships in creating job opportunities. He drew a parallel, stating that these establishments are as vital for employment generation as tech giants like Google, reinforcing the government’s commitment to prioritizing job growth. He further noted that a robust construction ecosystem, supported by essential equipment like excavators and bulldozers and their service centers, is fundamental for attracting major investments, including those from tech companies like Google, to Andhra Pradesh.
Minister Lokesh praised the Lakshmi Group as a highly dedicated organization and expressed the state’s need for more such enterprises to accelerate its development. He highlighted Mangalagiri’s rapid progress, positioning it as the gateway to Amaravati, and mentioned the government’s intensive efforts to build social infrastructure in Mangalagiri to accommodate those working in Amaravati.
Reflecting on his political journey, the Minister recounted his initial campaign in Mangalagiri 21 days before the 2019 election, where limited time prevented a full understanding of public concerns, leading to a narrow loss by 5,300 votes. However, over the subsequent five years, he dedicated himself to the populace, resulting in an impressive 91,000-vote victory in the 2024 election. He affirmed his ongoing focus on the town’s development, citing visible progress as evidence of his commitment.
Among the numerous government-led development initiatives, Mr. Lokesh mentioned new housing plots, a 100-bed hospital, various community buildings, advanced underground drainage systems, and enhanced drinking water supply. He also revealed plans for establishing a gems and jewelry park in the area.
Concluding his address, Minister Lokesh urged Tata Hitachi MD Sandeep Singh to continue supporting Andhra Pradesh, assuring him of the government’s full cooperation. Attendees at the event included Lakshmi Group chairman Kambhampati Rammohan Rao, MD K. Jayaram, executive director G. Bharat Bhushan, and director K. Venkata Sivarama Krishna.
