During his recent visit to Dubai, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu engaged in crucial discussions with Sharafuddin Sharaf, Vice-Chairman of the prominent Sharaf Group, exploring promising avenues for investment within the state.
The Chief Minister showcased Andhra Pradesh’s robust infrastructure, its wealth of skilled human resources, and other favorable business conditions, presenting a compelling case for potential investors.
Recognizing the Sharaf Group’s diverse portfolio spanning logistics, retail, real estate, and IT, Mr. Naidu specifically sought their partnership in establishing advanced logistics parks and modern warehouses across Andhra Pradesh, identifying areas of mutual strategic interest.
In response, Mr. Sharaf confirmed the group’s strong interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh’s logistics and warehousing sectors, particularly through its subsidiary, Hind Terminals Private Limited. He emphasized the need for an optimal location boasting excellent railway and port connectivity to maximize operational efficiency.
Continuing his productive engagements, Chief Minister Naidu met with Ramesh S. Ramakrishnan, Chairman of Transworld Group. He presented a detailed overview of the burgeoning shipbuilding opportunities in the state, leading to Transworld Group’s enthusiastic proposal to collaborate with the Andhra Pradesh government on establishing a new shipbuilding facility in Dugarajapatnam.
Finally, Mr. Naidu held a significant meeting with Dr. Shamsheer Vayalil, the visionary Founder Chairman of Burjeel Holdings. Impressed by Burjeel’s renowned expertise in medical research and its successful operation of a cancer hospital in Abu Dhabi, the company extended an offer to establish a state-of-the-art cancer center in Tirupati, promising a substantial upgrade to the region’s healthcare infrastructure.
