In a significant move aimed at safeguarding the welfare of its dedicated personnel, Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta officially renewed the Group Personal Accident Insurance (GPAI) policy for the entire Andhra Pradesh police force. On Monday, DGP Gupta presented a cheque for a remarkable ₹7,68,50,000 to the officials of New India Assurance Company during a ceremony held in Bengaluru.
This crucial one-year policy is now fully active, taking effect from Monday, September 29th. The renewal, as confirmed by a recent release from the Andhra Pradesh Police Headquarters, highlights the state’s unwavering commitment to providing essential accident coverage and support for its police personnel.
