Andhra Pradesh’s Roads and Buildings Minister, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, recently performed the ‘bhumi puja’ (ground-breaking ceremony) for a new Zilla Parishad High School building in his ancestral village of Yanakandla, located within the Banaganapalle mandal.
Speaking to an assembly of students, parents, and local residents at the launch, Minister Janardhan Reddy highlighted that the new eight-room school, estimated to cost ₹2 crore, is being constructed with the vital support of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh. He assured everyone that the construction would be finished in time for the upcoming academic year.
The Minister emphasized the school’s importance, noting that students from nearby villages like Erragudi, Govinda Dinne, and Krishnapuram currently face considerable challenges commuting to Banaganapalle for their education. He expressed his personal satisfaction, stating, "I am fulfilling my dream of constructing a school in my village, which will greatly benefit these students."
Beyond the school project, Minister Janardhan Reddy also inaugurated several recently completed internal concrete roads and drainage systems within Yanakandla village. Furthermore, he laid the foundation stone for the new Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in the area, signifying continued political presence and development initiatives.
Earlier in the day, the Minister conducted an unannounced inspection of the anganwadi center and government primary school in Pendekanti Nagar, part of the Sanjamala mandal headquarters in his Banaganapalle Assembly constituency. During his visit, he instructed teachers to strive for full student attendance and directed Mandal Education officials to ensure a continuous supply of essential provisions for the anganwadi center for at least 15 days.
Concluding his busy schedule, Minister Janardhan Reddy distributed CMRF (Chief Minister’s Relief Fund) cheques totaling ₹25.98 lakh to 41 deserving beneficiaries at his camp office in Banaganapalle, demonstrating his commitment to community welfare.
