Andhra Pradesh’s Minister for Housing, Information, and Public Relations, Kolusu Parthasarathy, recently announced a significant commitment: the government will swiftly settle all outstanding housing bills and proactively address concerns raised by beneficiaries of the state’s housing programs.
Speaking to the press at the Secretariat, Minister Parthasarathy emphasized the government’s dedication to understanding and resolving any discontent within the housing sector. Their goal is to ensure complete satisfaction among citizens receiving welfare provisions.
He highlighted a recent government survey indicating that over 75% of residents are already satisfied with the state’s welfare and development efforts.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has given clear directives for officials to aim for 100% public contentment. This involves a thorough analysis to determine if remaining issues stem from administrative inefficiencies or representational gaps.
Furthermore, Mr. Parthasarathy pointed out that even with substantial revenue losses, the government remains committed to its welfare agenda, continuing to provide free sand to eligible citizens.
The Minister also detailed the impressive achievements of the coalition government over the past 16 months, including 34 Cabinet meetings and 26 State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) meetings. These efforts have successfully attracted investments totaling ₹7.65 lakh crore and generated 7.21 lakh jobs through 182 diverse projects.
Finally, the Minister encouraged urban residents who are currently without housing to apply online for various housing schemes by November 5. He assured the public that the Chief Minister has already approved 50,000 urban houses and is prepared to sanction more as demand requires.
