The Andhra Pradesh government has swiftly provided ₹9.75 lakh in compensation to four laborers severely injured in a firecracker blast at the ANL parcel counter in Parvatipuram on October 19, 2025. This vital financial aid is designated for the ongoing treatment of the victims—Ravi, Reddi Ramesh, K. Ramesh, and B. Sundara Rao—in corporate hospitals.
Telugu Desam Party MLA Bonela Vijaya Chandra played a crucial role in securing this immediate relief. His office released a statement confirming that he escalated the matter to Transport Minister Mandapalli Ram Prasad Reddy and APSRTC Managing Director Dwaraka Tirumala Rao. The MLA highlighted that the explosion was a direct result of negligence by ANL services, which reportedly permitted the transport of explosive parcels without proper verification within APSRTC vehicles. Thanks to Mr. Vijaya Chandra’s diligent efforts, the compensation was processed and disbursed within a week, ensuring that the injured individuals could continue to receive high-quality medical care without delay.
