The Andhra Pradesh Joint Action Council of Employees (APJAC Amaravati) has sharply criticized the NDA alliance government for allegedly ignoring the welfare of its employees. Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, the council’s president, expressed deep frustration, noting that 15 months have passed since the government took office without any substantial action on employee concerns.
Addressing a joint meeting of APJAC Amaravati and the A.P. Revenue Services Association in Tirupati on Wednesday, Venkateswarlu asserted his commitment to bringing these pressing issues to the government’s attention and resolving them within the next three months. He highlighted that despite numerous cabinet meetings and festive seasons, there has been no meaningful dialogue with employees, even as pending dues have accumulated to thousands of crores of rupees. Venkateswarlu optimistically suggested that the upcoming Dasara festival might bring a positive turning point for the employees.
Key demands put forth by the employee leader include the establishment of a Pay Revision Commission, the immediate settlement of Dearness Allowance (DA) and Pay Revision Commission (PRC) arrears, and the resolution of issues affecting contract, outsourcing employees, and pensioners. The meeting saw participation from prominent figures such as A.P. Revenue Association general secretary Rajesh, Tirupati district president Siva Prasad, secretary Ashok Reddy, APJAC district president Gopinath, and secretary T. Satyanarayana.
