Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called on leaders of the NDA to ensure Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Srisailam and Kurnool on Thursday is a resounding success.
During a teleconference with MPs, MLCs, MLAs, and other key figures on Wednesday, Mr. Naidu passionately spoke about the advantages of a ‘double-engine government,’ stressing how Andhra Pradesh has achieved rapid progress through the combined efforts of both the State and Union administrations.
The Chief Minister noted that the Prime Minister is scheduled to first offer prayers at the revered Srisailam temple. Following this, he will address a public gathering in Kurnool, where he will elaborate on the significant benefits of the GST 2.0 reforms.
Expressing his optimism, Mr. Naidu stated his belief that the visit would greatly spur development in Srisailam, a highly revered Shakti Peetham. He also revealed that Prime Minister Modi would inaugurate development projects totaling over ₹13,000 crore during his time in the state.
Regarding the GST reforms, he projected that each family could see benefits of up to ₹15,000. Among other recent achievements, Mr. Naidu proudly announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Google to establish an AI data center in Visakhapatnam, an investment valued at US $15 billion. He acknowledged the crucial support from Prime Minister Modi and Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Ashwini Vaishnav, while also commending IT Minister Nara Lokesh for his persistent efforts in securing this landmark project for Visakhapatnam.

Enhanced Security Measures
Meanwhile, comprehensive arrangements are in full swing for Mr. Modi’s visit to Nandyal and Kurnool districts. Approximately 9,000 police personnel have been deployed to ensure the smooth and safe conduct of the public meeting scheduled near Nannur toll plaza, just outside Kurnool. Organizers anticipate an attendance of over three lakh people.
Given the presence of Mr. Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, and numerous Union and State Ministers, authorities have allocated around 7,500 police officers specifically for security and traffic management.
The area surrounding the public meeting venue has been designated a ‘no-drone zone,’ and CCTV surveillance has been significantly enhanced. The district administration has meticulously arranged for drinking water, food, and the installation of 1,500 temporary toilets. Additionally, medical and emergency response teams are on high alert, and provisions for uninterrupted power supply have been made to ensure seamless operations.
