Officials stated on Monday, October 20, 2025, that local port warnings are already in effect due to this developing weather system, which is predicted to bring heavy rainfall to the region until October 23.
Specifically, the Nicobar Islands are expected to experience very heavy rain, with accumulations between 7-11 cm, in isolated areas. Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds, reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph and potentially gusting up to 55 kmph, along with lightning, are highly probable across both Andaman and Nicobar Islands on October 21, 22, and 23.

Furthermore, sea conditions are anticipated to be rough for the next five days. The administration has also advised tourists and the general public to refrain from entering the sea and to strictly adhere to all safety guidelines issued by local authorities during this period.
