Anantapur is buzzing with renewed development, a stark contrast to the stagnation experienced in the previous five years, according to Anantapur Rural MLA Daggubati Venkateswara Prasad. He highlighted that significant progress has only been made in the last year.
This past Sunday, MLA Prasad, accompanied by Anantapur Municipal Commissioner Balaswamy, officially commenced crucial infrastructure upgrades in the city’s Housing Board Colony. They laid the foundation for new BT roads and road dividers, marking the start of projects valued at an impressive ₹2 crore. Mr. Prasad stressed the importance of timely completion and unwavering quality from the officials overseeing these works.
Prasad openly criticized the previous administration, stating that Anantapur had fallen into disrepair, but is now finally experiencing a much-needed revitalization. He assured residents that persistent issues like crumbling roads and inadequate drainage systems would be tackled head-on. Furthermore, a significant long-standing problem – the city’s 30-year-old dumping yard – is slated for removal, with plans to transform the site into a much-anticipated public park.
