District Collector O. Anand made an unannounced visit to the Government General Hospital (GGH) in Anantapur on Wednesday. During his tour, he personally engaged with patients, asking them about the medical care they were receiving at the hospital.
Upon entering, Mr. Anand carefully reviewed the registration procedures in both the in-patient and out-patient departments. He then proceeded to assess bed allocations, general medical services, and various operational aspects within the casualty ward. His inspection also extended to the services provided in the orthopedic and emergency sections, where he sought feedback on patient care.
Addressing the medical team and staff, the Collector emphasized the importance of their constant presence and dedication, especially with the prevalence of seasonal illnesses. He issued clear instructions to the hospital administration to guarantee essential amenities such as clean drinking water, continuous electricity, sufficient medication, and adequate parking for both patients and their accompanying family members.
