In a truly inspiring event held recently in Garividi, Vizianagaram district, retired Air Force official and passionate social activist, B. Rama Krishna Rao, was honorably felicitated by the Lions Club. This special occasion celebrated his astounding dedication to humanity, marked by an incredible 192 voluntary blood donations throughout his lifetime.
Lions Club district Governor D. Surya Prakash, alongside Sriramnagar Lions Club president Balijepalli Ravi, led the ceremony, acknowledging Mr. Rao’s selfless contributions. During the event, Mr. Prakash passionately emphasized the pressing need for greater public awareness regarding blood donation. He highlighted a critical issue faced by healthcare professionals: “Doctors are often unable to perform life-saving operations on numerous patients due to the severe scarcity of blood across all groups.”
The felicitation was attended by several distinguished guests, including Vizianagaram District Sainik Welfare Officer K.V.S. Prasada Rao, and fellow retired Air Force officials S.N. Raju and G. Rama Krishna, all of whom joined in celebrating Mr. Rao’s exceptional service.
