Union Home Minister Amit Shah recently delivered a powerful statement regarding immigration policies, asserting that every infiltrator in Bihar would be detected, removed from voter lists, and deported to their respective countries. His remarks came during a public rally in Khagaria district, where he also took aim at the INDIA bloc.
Shah condemned the INDIA bloc’s opposition to the special intensive revision of electoral rolls in Bihar. He emphasized that the upcoming Assembly election is a pivotal moment that will determine the state’s future: either a resurgence of ‘jungle raaj’ or a steadfast continuation on the path of development.
Addressing the political climate, Mr. Shah challenged Rahul Gandhi’s efforts, stating, “Let Rahul Gandhi launch yatras to protect these infiltrators. It does not matter. He cannot protect infiltrators by taking out ‘Ghuspetiya Bachao Yatra’ (Save Infiltrators Rally). Every infiltrator would be detected, deleted [from the voters’ list], and deported to their countries.”
Furthermore, the Union Home Minister criticized RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, accusing him of prioritizing his family’s prosperity over the state’s broader development. He contrasted this with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s alleged commitment to Bihar’s overall progress, asserting that the people do not desire a return to what he termed ‘jungle raj’ in the state.
Mr. Shah also highlighted what he claimed was a significant reduction in heinous crimes during the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) rule in Bihar, directly contrasting it with the RJD’s previous tenure. He alleged that under RJD governance, serious offenses such as murders and dacoity were a common occurrence.
