Amit Shah Declares INDIA Bloc Doomed in Bihar Polls, Cites Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Insult’ to Chhathi Maiyya

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking in Lakhisarai, Bihar, asserted that the INDIA bloc would be completely defeated in the state’s upcoming assembly elections. He claimed that voters would ‘take revenge’ for what he described as Congress workers insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother and Rahul Gandhi’s alleged ‘derision’ of both the Prime Minister and the revered deity Chhathi Maiyya.

Addressing a rally, Shah specifically highlighted an instance where Rahul Gandhi, currently the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, reportedly insulted Chhathi Maiyya while criticizing Prime Minister Modi, suggesting that devotees worshipping the goddess were merely ‘doing drama’.

In a direct taunt aimed at Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Shah dramatically urged the people to press the EVM buttons for NDA candidates with such force that the ‘tremors are felt in Italy’.

Shah further criticized the previous ‘jungle raj’ that he claimed prevailed in Bihar during the chief ministership of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi. He then emphasized that every vote cast for the NDA would contribute to the state’s continued development.

He accused the erstwhile UPA government of being involved in scams totaling ₹12 lakh crore during its ten-year tenure, contrasting this with the NDA’s rule, under which he stated no allegations of corruption could be leveled against Prime Minister Modi or Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

Shah reiterated that while India faced unchecked terrorist attacks during the UPA era, the Modi government has consistently responded to every assault with retaliatory strikes within Pakistan.

He also pledged to remove ‘infiltrators’ from Bihar, whom he accused of exploiting resources meant for the poor, seizing employment opportunities, and engaging in anti-national activities.

Looking ahead, Shah announced plans for a new medical college in Lakhisarai within the next two years, to be named after Bihar’s first chief minister, Shri Krishna Sinha.

He also paid homage to Goddess Sita, calling her the ‘daughter of Bihar’, and promised the construction of a grand temple at Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi at an estimated cost of ₹850 crore. This new temple, he added, would be directly connected to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya via a dedicated train service.

Highlighting infrastructure achievements, Shah stated that under NDA governance, the Centre has invested ₹18 lakh crore in road, railway, and greenfield expressway projects across Bihar. He also mentioned the establishment of a Makhana Board to support local agriculture.
