Air India Express has officially inaugurated a new, much-anticipated flight service connecting Thiruvananthapuram International Airport directly with Mangaluru. This exciting development significantly boosts regional air travel options for passengers across the southern states.
Initially, this convenient service will operate three times a week. Flights are scheduled to depart from Thiruvananthapuram at an early hour of 4:25 a.m. every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, arriving in Mangaluru by 5:45 a.m. The return journey will operate on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This new connection addresses a long-standing demand from numerous passengers, including a substantial student community, seeking improved travel convenience between these two important cities.
In related news expanding the airport’s offerings, IndiGo has also commenced daily flight services from Thiruvananthapuram to Male, the capital of the Maldives. This new international route takes off from Thiruvananthapuram at 12:00 noon, landing in Male at 1:20 p.m. For the return trip, the flight departs Male at 2:05 p.m., reaching Thiruvananthapuram by 4:20 p.m. These new air links complement existing services already provided by Maldivian Airlines, which operates on both the Thiruvananthapuram-Male and Thiruvananthapuram-Hanimaadhoo routes, further enhancing the international connectivity available from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
