Adani Krishnapatnam Port Limited (AKPL) recently made a significant announcement, revealing its highest-ever cargo discharge rate of an impressive 61,500 metric tonnes in a single day. This achievement sets a new industry benchmark for operational efficiency and rapid vessel turnaround times.
According to AKPL Chief Executive Officer Jagdish Patel, this remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the seamless coordination, unwavering dedication, and collaborative teamwork across various departments within the port.
Patel elaborated on the specifics, noting that the vessel MV Eurybia, carrying a massive 1,84,649 metric tonnes of imported iron ore for JSW Steel, docked at the port on September 22, 2025. Furthermore, AKPL successfully managed its inaugural rock phosphate shipment this month. This new cargo, a 13,100 MT parcel, arrived on the vessel MV Glamor for Blue Phosphate Limited’s facility in Kadapa district.
Blue Phosphate Limited has already committed to exclusively using AKPL for all its future rock phosphate shipments. These dual triumphs – achieving an unprecedented discharge rate and successfully diversifying its cargo portfolio – highlight AKPL’s unwavering commitment to operational excellence, fostering customer-centric growth, and significantly bolstering its contribution to India’s vital maritime economy.
