Exciting news for devotees across India! The revered Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is poised to establish its first-ever Lord Venkateswara temple in the picturesque North-East region of the country.
This ambitious and significant spiritual endeavor is moving forward with the generous support of the Government of Assam, which has agreed to allocate a substantial 15 acres of land in Guwahati. This expansive plot will not only serve as the site for the grand temple but will also accommodate essential allied infrastructure and facilities designed to enhance the pilgrim experience.
TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu is scheduled to meet formally with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati this Friday to finalize the arrangements and formalize this landmark deal.
This initiative builds upon earlier discussions, as Chairman Naidu previously met with Chief Minister Sarma in August of this year. During that meeting, TTD presented its proposal to consecrate a temple in Assam, aligning with the vision of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to establish replica Tirumala temples in various states. Initially, the Assam government had offered five acres for the project. However, recognizing the scale and importance of creating a comprehensive spiritual hub, the allocation has now been graciously expanded to 15 acres, ensuring ample space for all planned pilgrim amenities.
