September 17, 2025, marked a significant day as Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 75th birthday, receiving an overwhelming flood of well-wishes from dignitaries across the globe and leaders throughout India’s political landscape.
Among the prominent international figures extending their greetings were Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, U.S. President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and former U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, all acknowledging his leadership.
Domestically, the celebrations resonated deeply within the political sphere. Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded Prime Minister Modi’s tenure, stating that under his guidance, “India has truly become a beacon of global aspirations.” Shah highlighted the nation’s remarkable progress, from scientific advancements like reaching the Moon’s South Pole and exploring the ocean depths near Dwarka, to pioneering indigenous COVID-19 vaccines and bolstering defense systems. He emphasized Modi’s commitment to fostering a self-reliant India through initiatives in startups, innovation, ensuring fair agricultural prices, and advancing the manufacturing sector.
Echoing these sentiments, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief J.P. Nadda praised the Prime Minister’s transformative vision, driven by the philosophy of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’ (together with all, development for all, trust of all, and efforts of all). Nadda noted that these efforts have significantly uplifted all segments of society, enhancing India’s spiritual and cultural heritage on the global stage, and serving as a profound inspiration for countless BJP members.
The spirit of goodwill extended beyond the ruling party. Opposition leaders, including Lok Sabha’s Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, conveyed their best wishes for Prime Minister Modi’s health and longevity. Other regional stalwarts like Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik, Samajwadi Party’s (SP) Akhilesh Yadav, and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati also joined in expressing their felicitations.
Allies within the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) also took to social media to share their celebratory messages. Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu remarked on the nation’s good fortune in having “the right leader at the right time,” commending Modi’s unwavering dedication to national prosperity and the impactful reforms initiated under the ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ mantra. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of Janata Dal-United (JD-U) and Union Minister Chirag Paswan, head of Lok Janshakti Party-Ram Vilas (LJP-RV), similarly extended their heartfelt birthday greetings.
Even President Murmu had previously extended her greetings, noting that PM Modi has instilled a culture of achieving great goals, further underscoring the widespread recognition of his influence.
