Nellore’s Member of Parliament, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, recently highlighted the critical importance of educating the public about the Union government’s GST 2.0 reforms and the significant advantages these changes offer to everyday citizens.
His remarks followed the official release of a new pamphlet by the State government, an event he attended alongside GST Joint Commissioner Kiran Kumar and Assistant Commissioner Somasundara Prasad in Nellore on Tuesday.
Reddy articulated that these reforms are expected to not only reduce the cost of essential goods but also boost the purchasing power of ordinary people, enabling them to build substantial savings. He urged the more educated members of society to actively participate in informing those who might be less aware of these pivotal changes.
Following this, officials formally invited Mr. Reddy to an upcoming awareness program hosted by the department on October 8th. The event also saw the participation of Venkateswara Rao, President of the Auditors Association, and other key office-bearers like Krishna Mohan.
