Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is scheduled to officially open the impressive new building of the BIMS Super Specialty Hospital in Belagavi this Saturday, marking a significant milestone for healthcare in the region.
This state-of-the-art facility, constructed at a substantial cost of ₹188 crore, is located within the existing District Hospital premises.
Public Works Minister Satish Jarkiholi, who is also the district in-charge, confirmed the Chief Minister’s formal inauguration during a press briefing in Belagavi on Tuesday.
Earlier, Minister Jarkiholi, accompanied by MLA Asif (Raju) Sait and other senior officials, meticulously reviewed all arrangements for the upcoming event.
During their inspection, they thoroughly examined the newly installed medical equipment at the BIMS Super Specialty Hospital. Officials from Belagavi BIMS provided comprehensive details about the advanced technology. Notably, the hospital is currently operating under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the KLE Society, which ensures that KLES hospital doctors manage the Out-Patient Department (OPD) services at no charge to patients.
Minister Jarkiholi emphasized the importance of organizing the October 4th inauguration ceremony flawlessly.
Key dignitaries present during the review included senior officials from Belgaum BIMS, MLAs Asif (Raju) Seth and Babasaheb Patil, Deputy Commissioner Mohammed Roshan, Police Commissioner Bhushan Gulbarao Borase, Zilla Panchayat CEO Rahul Sindhe, and KPCC Secretary Sunil Hanamannavar, among others.
