A crucial by-election looms for the Jubilee Hills assembly constituency, with an impressive electorate of nearly four lakh individuals poised to determine the fate of aspiring candidates.
The Election Commission of India (ECI) has officially unveiled the final electoral roll for the constituency, indicating a total of 3.99 lakh voters. Remarkably, with a qualifying date of July 1, 2025, Jubilee Hills is recognized as one of the few constituencies where the number of male voters surpasses that of female voters. The data reveals 2.07 lakh male voters compared to 1.91 lakh female voters, translating to a gender ratio of 924 women for every 1,000 men.
Digging deeper into the demographic breakdown, the constituency includes 6,106 young voters aged 18-19, alongside 2,613 senior citizens over 80 years old, and 1,891 persons with disabilities. Additionally, 95 overseas voters are registered to cast their ballots. It’s worth noting that the initial draft rolls listed 3.92 lakh voters; subsequent revisions saw the inclusion of 6,976 new voters and the deletion of 663, bringing the total to 3.98 lakh. When service voters are included, the overall strength of the electorate reaches 3.99 lakh.
While the exact dates for the by-election are yet to be announced, preparations are underway for polling to take place across 407 designated polling stations, spread across 139 different locations within the constituency.
