Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, along with his cabinet colleagues M.B. Patil, Krishna Byre Gowda, and Priyank Kharge, conducted an extensive aerial survey of the flood-affected regions in Kalaburagi district on September 30. The primary focus of this initial inspection was to assess the severe damage to crops in the most impacted villages.
Following this, the Chief Minister is expected to extend his aerial assessment to Bidar district, where further crop loss and overall damage will be evaluated. Upon his morning arrival at Kalaburagi airport, CM Siddaramaiah convened a crucial preliminary meeting with senior officials. The discussions centered on understanding the widespread destruction caused by the Bhima river floods and reviewing the various relief measures currently being implemented.
Deputy Commissioners and in-charge secretaries from Kalaburagi, Bidar, Yadgir, and Vijayapura districts provided comprehensive briefings to the Chief Minister, detailing the prevailing ground conditions and outlining the relief operations underway in their respective areas.
