Hyderabad was awash in a vibrant shade of pink on Sunday morning as approximately 20,000 individuals converged on Necklace Road for the second annual Pink Power Run. This impactful event, a flagship initiative by the Sudha Reddy Foundation, aimed to powerfully advocate for breast cancer awareness and highlight the vital importance of early detection.
Building on the success of its inaugural year, the 2025 edition embraced the inspiring theme of ‘Stride & Shine,’ beautifully merging physical fitness, collective community spirit, and a deep sense of social responsibility. Participants had their choice of 10 km, 5 km, and 3 km race categories, each culminating in an exciting awards ceremony. Generous cash prizes were distributed to top finishers; winners in the 10 km race received ₹3.5 lakh, ₹2.5 lakh, and ₹1.5 lakh, respectively, while the 5 km race victors earned ₹2 lakh, ₹1.5 lakh, and ₹1 lakh.
The event kicked off with a grand inauguration, graced by notable personalities. Philanthropist Sudha Reddy, Managing Director of MEIL Krishna Reddy, Miss World Organisation Chairperson Julia Morley, and legendary tennis player Leander Paes officially launched the run. Adding to the star power, Miss World 2025, Opal Suchata Chuangsri, was also present, further amplifying the event’s reach and message.
