Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy, the proactive legislator representing Nellore Rural, has been making headlines by personally inviting key figures from opposition parties to participate in official public programs. This inclusive approach is a stark contrast to past practices and highlights his commitment to broader community engagement.
A notable example of this new spirit occurred recently when MLA Reddy invited Zilla Parishat Chairperson Anam Arunamma, a prominent member of the YSR Congress party, to inaugurate a new Anganwadi center in the Chintareddypalem area. Remarkably, she not only attended but personally cut the ribbon for the new facility.
This particular gesture is especially significant given the history: Mr. Sridhar Reddy and Ms. Arunamma’s husband, Anam Vijayakumar Reddy, have been known as fierce political adversaries. This push for unity aligns with his recent ‘Karyakarthatho Nenu’ (I am with my cadre) initiative, where the legislator aimed to personally connect with at least 1,000 constituency workers within a 30-day period.
