The State Bank of India (SBI), Hyderabad Circle, recently demonstrated its commitment to a cleaner community by actively participating in the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2025 campaign. On Friday, the team organized extensive cleanliness drives both within and surrounding its local head office.
As Telangana’s leading bank, SBI championed the five core principles of SHS 2025 throughout the campaign, which began on September 17. These pillars include transforming target units into clean spaces, ensuring pristine public areas, conducting ‘safaimitra suraksha shivirs’ (safety and security camps for sanitation workers), fostering clean and green festivities, and advocating passionately for overall cleanliness. The initiative saw strong leadership from Chief General Manager S. Radhakrishnan, supported by General Managers, Deputy General Managers, and other senior officials, according to a press release from the Circle.
During the event, Mr. Radhakrishnan emphasized the profound importance of cleanliness, stating, “Cleanliness extends beyond mere hygiene; it’s a clear reflection of our collective values, discipline, and leadership. Even if we don’t own the areas immediately outside our branches, we have a vital responsibility to ensure they are tidy and inviting. Maintaining spotless restrooms for both our staff and customers, ensuring clear and well-kept signage, and keeping ATM facilities immaculate are all fundamental, non-negotiable aspects of our commitment.”
