BRS Unveils ‘Congress Dues Card’ to Expose Unfulfilled Promises in Telangana

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has launched a comprehensive statewide campaign titled the “Congress Dues Card.” This strategic move is designed to expose what the party describes as a lengthy list of unfulfilled promises made by the Congress government in Telangana.

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, joined by prominent leaders such as T. Harish Rao, T. Srinivas Yadav, G. Jagadeesh Reddy, and Sabitha Indra Reddy, officially unveiled the campaign poster. Addressing the media, Mr. KTR asserted that the Congress, which ascended to power on the strength of ambitious guarantees, has since disappointed every segment of society. He declared, “With these Dues Cards, we will convey the unvarnished truth to every household in the state.”

Mr. KTR framed the ‘Dues Card’ as a direct challenge to the Congress party’s original ‘Guarantee Card,’ emphasizing that not a single commitment has been honored, despite numerous cabinet meetings. He recalled that Rahul Gandhi himself had vowed to provide legal backing to these guarantees, a promise that now appears to be neglected.

Furthermore, Mr. KTR accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka of having signed “bond papers” prior to the elections, only to now circumvent these commitments. He issued a stern warning to voters ahead of the upcoming Panchayat and Jubilee Hills by-elections: “If people are once again swayed by empty promises, even vital schemes like Rythu Bandhu could be abolished.”

The BRS leader meticulously outlined the significant debts owed by the Congress to the people. These include a promised support of Rs 15,000 per acre for farmers, a Rs 2 lakh farm loan waiver, a Rs 500 bonus per quintal of paddy, Rs 15,000 for tenant farmers, and Rs 12,000 for agricultural laborers. Additionally, he highlighted unfulfilled pledges such as two lakh government jobs and an unemployment allowance of Rs 4,000 per month.

Mr. Rama Rao also criticized the government for allegedly diverting attention from its administrative shortcomings by initiating “false and vindictive cases” against BRS leaders. He affirmed, “We refuse to be silenced and will persistently scrutinize and question the government’s actions.” The ‘Dues Cards,’ meticulously printed in Telugu, Urdu, and English, are slated for door-to-door distribution across Telangana by dedicated BRS leaders.
