Odisha is experiencing remarkable growth, a testament to the unwavering guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stated Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Speaking at the ‘Namo Yuva Samabesh’ on Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the presence of the Prime Minister, Majhi emphasized Modi’s consistent focus on Odisha’s progress, highlighting the state as central to his ‘Purvodaya’ vision for the rise of eastern India.
Chief Minister Majhi pointed out that Prime Minister Modi has visited Odisha seven times since the BJP government took power in 2024. He recalled the launch of the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ for women on PM Modi’s birthday last year, a scheme that now provides annual assistance of ₹10,000 to over one crore women across the state.
Majhi noted that Prime Minister Modi frequently brings significant development initiatives to Odisha. This time, his visit coincided with the festive period of Navratri, bringing a wave of new projects.
Among the transformative initiatives launched are the new Amrit Bharat train connecting Berhampur to Surat, a pioneering world-class skill development project, a state-of-the-art semiconductor park, and a port-based Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in the Ganjam district. Additionally, work orders for 50,000 Antyodaya houses for disadvantaged citizens were issued. These projects are poised to significantly bolster Odisha’s foundational progress.
The Chief Minister also acknowledged the widespread public participation in the GST savings festival, crediting the Prime Minister’s reforms for enabling savings for everyone, from the poorest to the richest. He expressed profound gratitude on behalf of Odisha’s citizens for these economic benefits.
Majhi further highlighted the long-term impact of previous initiatives, noting that the Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda, inaugurated by the Prime Minister eight years prior on September 22, has been crucial in accelerating the state’s development, especially in western Odisha.
Concluding his address, Chief Minister Majhi commended decisive national security actions, stating that they have inspired renewed enthusiasm among the youth. He affirmed the state government’s tireless commitment to the welfare and empowerment of farmers, the underprivileged, women, and youth, all guided by PM Modi’s inclusive vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas’.
