In a recent development that resolved considerable political confusion, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah officially announced on Friday that Congress MLA Raju Kage would continue serving as the Chairman of the North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC).
This clarification came after an unexpected error in a list released by the party’s high command just two days prior. The initial list, which detailed 39 corporation board chairmen and vice-chairmen, incorrectly indicated that Arun Patil had been appointed to lead the NWKRTC.
The erroneous announcement naturally caused surprise for Mr. Kage, the incumbent Chairman. Following this oversight, Mr. Kage promptly met with the Chief Minister to address the matter. During their discussion, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah confirmed that the mention of Arun Patil was merely a printing error and unequivocally stated that Mr. Kage would indeed remain in his role as the NWKRTC Chairman.
