Nettem Raghuram, the esteemed Telugu Desam Party (TDP) NTR District president and KDCC Bank Chairman, recently lauded Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Education Minister Nara Lokesh for their stellar execution of the Mega DSC teacher recruitment examination. Their visionary leadership has been instrumental in this significant achievement.
During a press conference held on Friday, Raghuram highlighted the remarkable speed and integrity of the process. He proudly announced that the entire recruitment drive was finalized within just 150 days of its announcement, with appointment orders already distributed—a truly historic moment for Andhra Pradesh’s education sector. He recalled how Minister Lokesh, deeply moved by the plight of unemployed youth during his ‘Yuvagalam Padayatra’ (youth march), pledged to address their concerns, a promise now delivered with unwavering resolve. Furthermore, Raghuram emphasized Chief Minister Naidu’s profound commitment, noting that signing the DSC file was his very first act upon assuming office.
The government’s dedication to social justice shone brightly through the recruitment, offering crucial age relaxations for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Backward Class (BC), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and differently-abled candidates. Even in the face of 24 challenging legal battles aimed at disrupting the process, Minister Lokesh’s steadfast leadership ensured its seamless conclusion, showcasing both remarkable resilience and a powerful reformist spirit.
In stark contrast, Raghuram sharply criticized the previous YSRCP government, accusing them of failing to conduct a single DSC examination over their five-year tenure, despite numerous promises. He further alleged that the former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy’s administration significantly undermined the state’s education system, resulting in a staggering 10 lakh student dropouts and leaving critical initiatives like “Nadu-Nedu” incomplete.
TDP State Secretary Ganne Prasad and several other prominent party figures also attended the press briefing.
