The Karnataka State government has officially determined the payment structure for its extensive social and educational survey, scheduled to take place from September 22 to October 7. Each supervisor will receive an honorarium of ₹10,000, while enumerators will be compensated with ₹5,000 for their participation.
In addition to the baseline ₹5,000, enumerators will also receive an extra ₹100 for every household they cover during the survey. This payment structure was formally announced in a notification released on Friday.
This significant undertaking involves a massive workforce of 1,20,728 enumerators and supervisors across the state, with the exception of the Greater Bengaluru Authority region.
To kickstart this initiative, the government has already disbursed ₹60.36 crore in the first phase, specifically earmarked for the honorarium payments.
