Ahead of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, which runs from October 27 to November 2, the Central Railway’s Solapur Division, in collaboration with the Mumbai Headquarters’ Vigilance Department, recently hosted a crucial seminar themed ‘Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility’.
During the event, Neeraj Kumar Dohare, Senior Deputy General Manager at Central Railway Headquarters, passionately emphasized the critical importance of upholding personal and professional integrity, strictly adhering to rules, and fostering an unwavering commitment to transparency.
He further provided valuable guidance on the specific Railway codes and best practices vital for effective vigilance in daily operations, ensuring a robust framework against misconduct.
Deputy Chief Vigilance Officers from various departments shared comprehensive insights into proactive measures being implemented to combat corruption across the Railways. Through compelling case studies, they inspired officers to cultivate a work culture defined by integrity and zero tolerance for corruption.
To actively engage employees and test their understanding, a lively quiz competition focusing on the Railway Code of Conduct was held. Winners were awarded prizes, celebrating their impressive awareness and knowledge of ethical guidelines.
The seminar saw significant participation, including Shailendra Singh Parihar, Chief Project Manager of Solapur Division, and a cadre of senior Vigilance officers from headquarters. Notable attendees included Pradeep Hirde (Traffic), Chandrakant Kadam (Accounts and Personnel), Sunil Kumar Bairwa (Electrical), and Amit Joshi (Stores and Mechanical).
Additionally, Chief Vigilance Inspectors from various headquarters departments, along with numerous branch officers and inspectors from the Solapur Division, actively contributed to the discussions.
Concluding the event, Anshumali Kumar, Additional Divisional Railway Manager for Solapur, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks. He commended the diligent work of the Vigilance Department and powerfully urged all staff members to embrace vigilance not just as a duty, but as a shared, collective responsibility.
The successful execution of this vital program was coordinated by Senior Divisional Finance Manager Aditya Tripathi and organized by the Personnel Department, under the leadership of Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Machhindra Galve.
S. Vikram, Public Relation Inspector of Solapur Division, was also present, alongside other esteemed senior functionaries, highlighting the widespread commitment to the vigilance cause.
