In a commendable effort, police teams from Ongole Taluka and the Central Crime Station (CCS) have successfully apprehended three young individuals, one of whom is a minor. The arrests, made on Thursday at the outskirts of Netaji Colony, led to the recovery of a staggering 19 stolen motorcycles, collectively valued at an estimated ₹13.50 lakh.
According to police statements, the accused were identified as Thalluri Gabriel, Bandaru Naveen, and a minor, all hailing from Guravayapalem village in Narasaraopet, Palnadu district. Investigations revealed that the trio had succumbed to undesirable habits, leading them to resort to stealing two-wheelers from various locations as a quick way to make money.
The successful operation was conducted under the expert supervision of Ongole Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) R. Srinivasa Rao. Two dedicated police teams, led by CCS Circle Inspector (CI) S. Jagadish and Taluka CI T. Vijayakrishna, meticulously investigated the cases, ultimately leading to the arrests.
Prakasam District Superintendent of Police (SP) V. Harshavardhan Raju extended his heartfelt congratulations to both police teams for their diligent work and significant achievement in curbing motorcycle theft in the region.
