Exciting news for nature lovers and tourists! The State government has officially approved the second phase of a major infrastructure development project for Vilangan Kunnu, a beautiful green hillock located nearby. A substantial allocation of ₹2.45 crore has been sanctioned to transform this serene spot.
This ambitious project is designed to introduce and upgrade various facilities at Vilangan Kunnu, a place abundant with diverse flora and fauna. It’s a key part of the government’s broader strategy to shine a spotlight on charming, yet often less-explored, tourist destinations.
The plans for this second phase are extensive. They include the complete renovation of existing amenities such as the public toilet blocks, the beloved old pathway steps, the on-site restaurant, and the seminar hall. Additionally, visitors can look forward to new additions like an open-air gym and a captivating butterfly park. Clear and informative new signage will also be installed to enhance the visitor experience.
Managed by the Department of Tourism, the entire project is on a fast track and is anticipated to be fully completed within just 12 months, promising a revitalized and even more inviting Vilangan Kunnu for everyone to enjoy.
