In a compassionate gesture, Nandyal Collector Rajakumari Ganiya recently presented cheques of ₹20 lakh each to nine children who were tragically orphaned by the COVID-19 pandemic. This significant financial aid aims to provide much-needed stability and support for their future.
During the distribution ceremony, Ms. Rajakumari Ganiya highlighted the pivotal roles played by both the Central and State governments through their dedicated initiatives. She specifically mentioned the PM CARES for Children scheme by the Central government and the Mission Vatsalya program by the State government, both designed to offer robust support to these vulnerable children. Each government contributes ₹10 lakh, totaling the ₹20 lakh received by each child. Furthermore, the Collector emphasized that Mission Vatsalya extends beyond just financial assistance, focusing holistically on the health, education, and overall empowerment of these children to ensure they have a brighter and more secure future.
