He highlighted BCG’s confidence in the abundant opportunities available across various sectors, particularly within the booming pharmaceuticals, technology, infrastructure, and real estate industries.
Hyderabad stands out as one of India’s most rapidly growing business centers. Its robust economy is powered by strong manufacturing, extensive research and development (R&D) capabilities, and a thriving technology sector supported by a highly skilled workforce. The city is a dominant player in the pharmaceutical industry, contributing nearly one-third of the country’s total pharmaceutical production and a significant one-fifth of its exports, earning its reputation as India’s ‘Pharma Capital.’ Furthermore, manufacturing contributes a substantial 19.5% to Telangana’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP), outpacing the national average of 17.7%, and witnessed an approximate 9% growth between FY23 and FY24. Beyond these strengths, Hyderabad has also emerged as a leading destination for global capability centers (GCCs), R&D hubs, and startups, further fueled by its innovative technology ecosystem and strategic infrastructural developments.
