Dr. Raghavendra Kulkarni, the Registrar of BLDE Deemed to be University, and Dr. Kusal Das, a Distinguished Chair Professor from the Department of Anatomy and Physiology, have both been featured in the prestigious list of the world’s leading scientists for 2025.
Dr. Kulkarni’s impressive recognition stems from his groundbreaking research in pharmaceutical science and polymers, while Dr. Das has been lauded for his significant contributions to the field of anatomy.
This exclusive list, compiled annually by the renowned Stanford University and Elsevier in the Netherlands, rigorously identifies over 100,000 scientists based on their profound impact and extensive citation index, ultimately ranking them within the elite top 2% of global scientific talent.
For Dr. Kulkarni, this marks his fifth consecutive inclusion on this distinguished list. His pioneering work in polymer-based pharmaceutical science has earned him an impressive 27th rank among Indian researchers and the 158th position globally in his specialized field.
His extensive academic portfolio includes 134 impactful research publications and 11 granted patents. Furthermore, Dr. Kulkarni has successfully secured research grants totaling an astounding ₹102.02 crore, underscoring the significant value and potential of his scientific endeavors.
Dr. Das, a formidable figure in anatomical sciences, celebrates his third time being recognized on this global platform. He holds the 267th rank among Indian researchers and an impressive 2,914th position worldwide for his contributions to anatomical research.
With 151 research publications and four patents to his name, Dr. Das’s influence in his field is undeniable. He has also successfully attracted over ₹1 crore in research grants, further propelling his critical scientific investigations.
