A grave bomb threat has sent shockwaves through Kannur, Kerala, placing the Defence Security Corps (DSC) Records Centre under immediate high alert. The alarming message, delivered via email on Tuesday, initiated a large-scale joint search operation involving both Army personnel and the local police, supported by the bomb squad.
According to officials, the chilling email, a blend of English and Tamil, explicitly warned that RDX explosives had been planted within the DSC Records section, threatening an explosion within an eight-hour timeframe. The critical message was first discovered by staff in the records section during the morning hours.
In response to this serious security breach, the Army swiftly sealed off the entire premises, implementing stringent security measures throughout and around the facility. A coordinated team, comprising members from the Army, police, and specialized bomb disposal units, immediately commenced an intensive and thorough search for any suspicious devices.
