Rahul Gandhi Connects Youth Unemployment to ‘Vote Theft’ and Government Failures

In a strong statement, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi declared that as long as elections are compromised, the issues of unemployment and corruption in India will continue to worsen. He emphasized that young people will no longer tolerate what he described as ‘job theft’ and ‘vote theft’.

Taking to social media platform X, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha asserted that youth unemployment is the most significant challenge facing India, directly stemming from ‘vote chori’ (vote theft).

Gandhi stated that any government, once it earns public trust and comes to power, has a primary responsibility to create employment and opportunities for its young citizens. However, he accused the ruling party of not winning elections fairly, instead maintaining power through alleged vote manipulation and control over key institutions.

He linked these alleged actions to India’s unemployment rate, which he claimed has reached a 45-year high. Gandhi further argued that this is why job creation is stagnant, recruitment processes are failing, and the prospects of young people are being jeopardized. He also connected this to instances of exam paper leaks and widespread corruption in recruitment.

The former Congress chief criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that while the country’s youth diligently work, dream, and strive for their future, Modi is primarily preoccupied with public relations, garnering praise from celebrities, and benefiting billionaires. He suggested that shattering the hopes and frustrating the youth has become a hallmark of the government’s identity.

However, Gandhi expressed optimism, noting a shift in the situation. He believes India’s youth now recognize that their struggle is not merely for jobs, but against vote theft itself, understanding that stolen elections directly fuel rising unemployment and corruption.

He concluded by asserting that young people will no longer endure ‘job theft’ or ‘vote theft’, and that true patriotism now lies in liberating India from these twin problems.

To underscore his point, Gandhi shared a split-screen video. One side depicted police using batons on protesting students demanding jobs, while the other showed Prime Minister Modi engaged in activities like planting saplings, feeding peacocks, and practicing yoga.
