The Mudinepalli police, part of the Eluru district, demonstrated remarkable speed in locating three young girls who had run away from their homes. They were successfully traced to the bustling Vijayawada railway station and safely reunited with their relieved parents. This swift resolution was confirmed by Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore.
Authorities revealed that the incident began after one of the girls, a sixteen-year-old, was scolded by her parents for taking ₹2,000 from their safe. Deeply distressed by the reprimand, she decided to leave home, accompanied by two relatives, aged fifteen and twelve. After frantic searching across Mudinepalli and surrounding areas yielded no results, the worried parents filed a missing persons report with the local police.
Upon receiving the complaint, Mudinepalli Sub-Inspector Veerabhadra Rao immediately registered a missing case and assembled a dedicated team, including constables B. Naga Babu and B. Pavan Kumar. Their diligent work led them to Vijayawada railway station, where they found the girls late on Sunday night, narrowly preventing them from boarding a train bound for Tirupati. The Superintendent of Police added that the girls received counseling before being lovingly returned to their families, bringing a relieved end to a stressful situation.
