Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has issued a clear directive to Revenue and other department officials: expedite the land acquisition process for both the southern and northern segments of the eagerly anticipated Regional Ring Road (RRR) project.
During a high-level meeting held in Hyderabad on Monday, September 22, 2025, to review the progress of national and state highways, the Chief Minister offered several strategic recommendations to officials. These focused on the swift construction of the RRR’s northern and southern sections, as well as the crucial radial roads designed to link this ambitious project directly to the heart of the city.

Furthermore, Mr. Reddy instructed officials to quickly finalize the route map for the proposed greenfield expressway that will connect Hyderabad with the Machilipatnam port. He also emphasized the need to secure the necessary approvals from the Central Government for the elevated corridor planned on the Hyderabad-Srisailam highway, especially the portion that traverses the protected tiger reserve area.
Connecting with District Collectors via video conference, the Chief Minister reviewed the status of highways within their respective jurisdictions. He urged them to accelerate pending land acquisition in various districts to allow construction work to commence without further delay. A strict deadline of October 31 was set for the completion of all land acquisition, with a firm directive to ensure fair compensation for farmers whose lands are acquired for these vital highway projects.
For any lands entangled in legal disputes, district collectors were advised to hold urgent consultations with senior officials to find effective resolutions.
