A tragic incident has rocked Punalur, Kollam, Kerala, as a 39-year-old private school teacher, Shalini, was brutally killed by her husband on Monday. The shocking event has drawn widespread attention due to the circumstances surrounding the confession.
Her husband, Isaac, 42, allegedly attacked Shalini around 6 a.m. in their Valacode residence. Following the violent act, Isaac used social media to confess, broadcasting his admission on Facebook Live before voluntarily surrendering to the police.
Shalini’s body has since been moved to the Punalur Taluk Hospital mortuary for a comprehensive post-mortem examination, as the investigation unfolds.
According to police statements, the heinous crime was provoked by persistent marital disputes and profound suspicion between the couple.
In the two-and-a-half-minute Facebook Live video, Isaac openly admitted to taking Shalini’s life. He made several serious allegations, claiming his wife was involved in other relationships, neglected their children, and had forced him to leave the home he had built.
Sources indicate that the couple had already been living separately for some time, a result of their long-standing family disagreements.
After his digital confession, Isaac initially fled the scene. However, he later turned himself in at the local police station around 9 a.m. Authorities have formally registered a case of murder, and a thorough investigation is actively underway to piece together the full sequence of events.
