Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegde has issued a heartfelt appeal to the citizens of Shivamogga district, urging their full cooperation for an upcoming socio-economic and educational survey. This important initiative is scheduled to begin on Monday.
The Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes is orchestrating this extensive door-to-door survey, which will continue until October 7th. Dedicated enumerators will visit homes across the district to gather essential information from family members. According to data compiled from Mescom, Shivamogga district is home to 543,925 families, all of whom have already been geo-tagged.
Highlighting the meticulous planning behind the effort, Mr. Hegde stated, “A total of 4,215 enumerators have been specially appointed to collect socio-economic and educational data from families using mobile phones. For areas with limited or no mobile network coverage, the administration has proactively identified government offices and school buildings that offer reliable internet access to ensure the seamless execution of the data collection process.”
