In a sweeping administrative move, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced immediate transfers and new postings for several Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across vital state departments.
Among the key appointments, S. Nagalakshmi, previously awaiting assignment, steps into the role of Managing Director for A.P. GENCO within the Energy Department, succeeding K.V.N. Chakradhar Babu.
Further strengthening the administration, P. Prasanthi has been designated as Director of Rehabilitation & Resettlement. Concurrently, B.R. Ambedkar assumes the critical position of Inspector General, Registration & Stamps, taking over from G. Veerapandian, who was holding the full additional charge.
Sridhar Chamakuri has been entrusted with the directorship of Excise & Prohibition. Additionally, Amilineni Bhargav Teja is now the Additional Commissioner of the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), replacing Mallarapu Naveen.
Mallarapu Naveen, in turn, moves to serve as the Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate for Krishna district. Another notable appointment includes Katta Simhachalam, who will lead the Khadi & Village Industries Board (KVIB) as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Lastly, Mogili Venkateswarlu has been appointed as the Joint Collector and Additional District Magistrate for Nellore, succeeding Kollabathula Karthi, who has also been transferred.
In an interim arrangement, Mallikarjuna A, currently the Director of B.C. Welfare, has been given the crucial additional responsibility as Secretary of the A.P. State Election Commission.
