Mysuru recently came alive with a vibrant celebration of holistic health as the Government Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital organized an impactful ‘Ayurpatha’ walkathon. This special event was held on the occasion of the 10th World Ayurveda Day, drawing attention to the profound benefits of Ayurvedic practices.
Students from the college, alongside faculty members and dedicated Ayurveda practitioners, took to the streets of Mysuru. Their mission: to raise awareness and educate the community about the natural healing power and lifestyle advantages offered by Ayurveda. The enthusiastic procession began at the college campus and gracefully made its way to Chandravana, the college’s dedicated medicinal plant park on Kukkarahalli Main Road, covering an approximate distance of 3.5 kilometers.
Adding an engaging dimension to the awareness drive, a captivating street play was performed at the bustling Ayurveda College Circle. The theatrical presentation effectively conveyed the core messages of Ayurveda to passers-by, who paused to watch the students’ performance and absorb its valuable lessons.
The walkathon served as a powerful platform, underscoring Ayurveda’s vital role in maintaining health and enhancing overall lifestyle quality. With nearly 500 participants, the event was a testament to the growing interest in traditional Indian medicine. Each participant proudly carried placards, featuring clear and compelling messages that highlighted the immense value of Ayurvedic medicine in contemporary society.
The initiative received widespread support, with several prominent dignitaries attending the event to commend and encourage the college’s commitment to promoting Ayurveda.
