Gopichand Parmanand Hinduja, the esteemed Indian-British billionaire and chairman of the Hinduja Group, has passed away at the age of 85. The announcement was made by Tory peer Rami Ranger, a member of the British House of Lords, who shared his deep sorrow and condolences.
Ranger fondly remembered Hinduja as “one of the most gracious, humble, and loyal friends,” noting that his death signifies the closing of a significant chapter. In his statement, Ranger described Hinduja as a “well-wisher of the community and a guiding force,” highlighting his unique qualities, including a “tremendous sense of humour, commitment to the community and country, India,” and his consistent support for good causes. “He has left a huge vacuum behind that will be difficult to fill. May he rest in peace in heaven. Om Shanti,” Ranger added.
