VIZIANAGARAM: The Vizianagaram Two Town Police Station has embarked on an innovative journey with the launch of “SAATHI” – a name that beautifully translates to “companion.” This new program aims to significantly enhance public awareness regarding the department’s crucial work, encompassing everything from vital road safety measures and the protection of women to effective patrolling in outlying areas and encouraging citizen involvement in community welfare initiatives.
Circle Inspector T. Srinivasa Rao of the Two Town Police explained that a primary goal of SAATHI is to connect with as many residents as possible through popular social media platforms. He stated, “We will be regularly sharing concise, impactful video reels on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, ARATAI, and WhatsApp.”
This digital outreach strategy ensures that community members can easily follow the dedicated SAATHI portal to receive timely updates and, more importantly, communicate their concerns and grievances directly to police personnel with unprecedented ease.
Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar commended Mr. Srinivasa Rao’s foresight and leadership in spearheading this initiative. He praised the strategic decision to harness the power of social media to effectively showcase and promote the police department’s ongoing efforts to serve and protect the community.
