Greater Noida: In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old man has been taken into custody in Badalpur for the alleged murder of 45-year-old Mahipal. The motive behind the crime, according to police, was Mahipal’s refusal to permit his daughter’s marriage to the accused.
The accused, identified as Deepak Goswami, reportedly met the victim’s daughter via social media approximately two years ago. The proposal was recently rejected by the girl’s parents, leading to the fatal confrontation. Police have stated that six dedicated teams were instrumental in the investigation, culminating in Goswami’s arrest on Sunday.
Goswami, originally from Meerut, was residing in the Kasba area of Surajpur in Greater Noida. He is described as a pharmacy undergraduate student who also works as a medical representative. The victim, Mahipal, was a farmer and a resident of Bambawar village, who also engaged in selling agricultural land on commission.
