Hyderabad Police Crack Down on Farmhouse Violations in Chevella and Moinabad

In a series of unexpected raids conducted overnight on November 1st and into the early hours of November 2nd, Rajendranagar police targeted 39 farmhouses in Mudimyal and Tolkatta villages. These inspections quickly brought to light a host of unlawful activities, ranging from the consumption of illegal alcohol and unauthorized events to the use of hookah.

DCP Rajendranagar Yogesh Goutam personally oversaw these operations, leading local police teams in the extensive checks.

Significant discoveries were made during these raids. At Azeemuddin Farmhouse in Tolkatta, officers found individuals openly consuming hookah. Meanwhile, at Pranava Villa Hills, authorities seized 18 beer bottles and a full bottle of whisky, all in violation of excise laws. Another property, ’12 Farm’ in Tolkatta, was hosting an unauthorized ticketed party with 29 attendees, complete with loud music and fireworks. The premises were littered with empty bottles of various alcoholic beverages including whisky, rum, vodka, wine, and breezers. Fortunately, drug tests administered to those present came back negative.

Further investigations in Mudimyal village led to the discovery of hookah equipment inside a parked vehicle. A particularly concerning incident unfolded at Rithika Farmhouse, where approximately 150 students from Slate School were found participating in an event without proper authorization. This gathering also featured an illicit sound system and instances of alcohol consumption among some students.

Simultaneously, a Special Operations Team (SOT) and traffic police conducted thorough vehicle inspections in Tolkatta. Out of 120 four-wheelers, 30 three-wheelers, and 15 two-wheelers stopped, three cases of drunk driving were identified, leading to the detention of three vehicles and the collection of ₹30,000 in fines.

In response to these findings, police have filed a total of four cases against the organizers and owners of the implicated farmhouses.

Authorities are now issuing a stern warning to all farmhouse owners, emphasizing the critical need to obtain prior police permission for any hosted events. Additionally, if alcohol is to be served, a separate approval from the Excise Department is an absolute must. The DCP explicitly stated that any management found disregarding these regulations would face severe legal consequences.
